How To Stay Safe: A Fool-Proof Guide To Avoid Being Raped and Murdered

Yesterday, I read a news article about how an Australian man prevented a young woman from being attacked as she was walking home from the train station in the very early hours of the morning.  Which makes that man amazing, by the way, and should be a lesson for everyone: Don’t turn a blind eye. You literally can make … Continue reading How To Stay Safe: A Fool-Proof Guide To Avoid Being Raped and Murdered

“But You Don’t Look Sick!”

I suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome, endometriosis, fibro, and IBS. On top of these three ‘invisible’ illnesses, I also suffer from two mental illnesses: clinical depression and a severe anxiety disorder (brought on by a traumatic experience). As a result, I constantly hear the words: “But you don’t look sick.” Sometimes I’m sure it’s meant … Continue reading “But You Don’t Look Sick!”
